The Trinidad and Tobago Regiment says it is taking seriously a report that four men dressed in army camouflage stormed an apartment complex in Maloney earlier this week.
According to the Regiment, it is aware of the incident—which occurred around 10:45 p.m. on Monday—and has noted the concerns raised after footage and eyewitness accounts suggested the attackers appeared to be wearing military-style uniforms.
In a brief statement issued today, the Regiment stressed that it “takes all reports of possible misconduct seriously” and remains committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and accountability within its ranks.
While information surrounding the incident remains limited, the Regiment confirmed that it is prepared to “cooperate fully with the TTPS as they conduct their investigations.”
Police investigations are ongoing.
