A decomposed body was discovered floating in a pond at Pabaroo Quarry on Sunday morning. The discovery was made by a watchman who promptly alerted his employer. The body, dressed in a red jersey, white pants, and dark slippers, was severely decomposed to the point that the face was unrecognizable. Authorities from various departments, including the Sangre Grande Criminal Investigations Department and the Fire Service, were on the scene. Local fishermen aided in retrieving the body from the pond, where caimans were observed feeding on the remains. Unfortunately, no identification was found on the body, leaving the identity of the deceased unknown. The investigation is currently ongoing.
