Finland Loses Out in the Workplace Due to Excessive Work Hours

Finns are among the hardest working people in the Nordic region, but this comes at a cost to both the economy and workers’ health. In contrast, Denmark has a more flexible labor market and shorter working weeks.

According to Vilde Paulsen, a 28-year-old from Denmark, the balance is just right, saying “I work just the right amount.”

This highlights the difference in approach to work-life balance between Finland and Denmark, with Finland’s long working hours potentially taking a toll on the economy and workers’ well-being.
