**ZAGREB** – Air China inaugurated a new direct flight route connecting Beijing, Bucharest, and Zagreb on Friday, September 4, 2026. The maiden flight arrived at Zagreb International Airport, marking a significant expansion in air travel connectivity between China and Southeast Europe.
The new service restores direct passenger links between China and Romania for the first time in over two decades. Additionally, the route serves as the first-ever scheduled passenger service between China and Croatia.
The launch is expected to facilitate increased travel and economic exchange between the three nations. Officials and representatives gathered at Zagreb International Airport to mark the arrival of the inaugural flight.
