Crimean Bridge reopens after 40-minute traffic halt with no explanation

Traffic on the Crimean Bridge was resumed early Tuesday after a temporary suspension that lasted about 40 minutes, according to the information center monitoring the approaches to the bridge.

The bridge, which connects Russia to the annexed Crimean Peninsula, was closed to vehicle traffic without prior notice. Authorities did not disclose the reason for the halt.

‘Vehicle traffic on the Crimean Bridge has been resumed,’ the information center said in a statement.

The brief closure comes amid ongoing security concerns surrounding the strategic infrastructure. No further details have been provided.

The bridge has been a focal point in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, with previous attacks damaging the structure.
