Couva Lotto Booth Pillaged Overnight, $16,651 Vanished

Authorities are currently investigating a case of burglary and theft at the Couva Lotto Booth located in Ibis Court, Point Lisas, Couva. The incident reportedly took place overnight on August 16, 2025. The owner, a 36-year-old woman, had secured the premises at around 6:30 p.m. by locking all doors and windows. She was informed the next morning that her booth had been broken into. Upon investigation, she found the northern glass door broken and a ceiling tile displaced, indicating the intruder’s path to the cash register. A significant sum of $16,651 TT, equivalent to the previous day’s earnings, was found missing.
