Late Wednesday night, a couple was reportedly robbed at gunpoint at their establishment, Score Restaurant and Bar, situated on Mon Desir Road, Rousillac. The victims, a 54-year-old school safety officer and his 48-year-old wife, who owns the business, were confronted by two armed men who announced a hold-up. The suspects restrained the couple and stole a gold bera, $1,800 in cash from the register, three cell phones, and a Nissan Tiida hatchback. After the suspects escaped, the victims managed to free themselves and alerted the police using a neighbour’s phone. The stolen vehicle was later recovered near Highway Mini Mart, off Grant’s Road Flyover. The case is currently being investigated by Oropouche CID.
