The findings indicate that Costa Rican students are currently performing below the OECD average in the core subjects of mathematics, reading, and science. Despite these lower academic outcomes in standardized testing, the report identifies notable strengths in student behavior and technological engagement.
According to the data, Costa Rican students demonstrate high levels of curiosity and academic effort. Furthermore, the report notes that these students frequently utilize artificial intelligence tools to assist with their studies, suggesting a high level of digital integration in their learning processes.
