Contour Airlines launches Trinidad and Tobago service on October 5

Contour Airlines is set to officially begin service to Trinidad and Tobago on October 5, adding another carrier to the country’s air network.

The airline’s inaugural flight is scheduled to arrive at Piarco International Airport on Monday, October 5, where the Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago will host an official welcome reception and media briefing.

The introduction of Contour Airlines forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen air connectivity, provide travellers with additional options and support the continued development of Trinidad and Tobago’s aviation and tourism sectors.

The inaugural event is scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m. at the International Departure Lounge at Piarco International Airport.

The arriving aircraft is expected to receive a traditional water cannon salute before passengers disembark. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will also be held, followed by remarks from representatives of the airline, airport and Government.

Airports Authority General Manager Hayden Newton is expected to deliver welcome remarks, while Contour Aviation Vice President of Airports and Customer Success Andrew Chevallier is also scheduled to address the event.

International Airport Development Company Chief Executive Officer Samuel Johnson, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Senator Eli Zakour and Minister of Trade, Investment and Tourism Senator Satyakama Maharaj are also expected to deliver remarks.

The Airports Authority said the new service represents another opportunity to improve Trinidad and Tobago’s connectivity while supporting growth within the tourism and aviation sectors.

Contour Airlines’ inaugural arrival is scheduled for October 5, marking the carrier’s official entry into the Trinidad and Tobago market.
