Conservative Activist Charlie Kirk Assassinated at University

On September 10, 2025, tragedy struck Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah when conservative activist and political commentator, Charlie Kirk, 31, was shot dead while speaking at an outdoor event on campus. The fatal shot was reportedly fired from a building about 200 yards away, hitting him in the neck. Despite immediate attention and transport from the scene, Kirk was confirmed dead shortly after. One person was initially detained in connection to the shooting, but was later released after being cleared. The actual perpetrator remains at large. The incident sparked a temporary lockdown of the campus and is currently under investigation by both local law enforcement and the FBI.
