Students in Kingston spent the weekend helping parents and residents prepare a small community garden beside a shared play area used by several families. The group cleared old leaves, removed plastic waste, turned the soil, and planted herbs, tomatoes, peppers, and flowering plants donated by nearby supporters. Teachers said the project was designed to help young people learn teamwork, food awareness, and responsibility while giving the neighbourhood a cleaner and more useful space. Residents said the garden will be maintained by a simple weekly schedule with students, parents, and volunteers sharing duties. The students also painted small signs reminding people not to dump garbage near the garden and to protect the seedlings until they become stronger. Organizers said the project began after a class discussion about ways young people can improve public spaces without waiting for a large budget. Several parents attended the clean up and confirmed that the group plans to return every Saturday morning for the next month. This is an original Phase 2 verification story for TG Community testing.
