The European Commission is redistributing its internal resources to keep pace with the rapid implementation of reforms in the Republic of Moldova as the country works toward European Union accession.
While officials acknowledge that Chisinau has achieved significant technical progress in its reform agenda, the country’s path toward membership remains linked to the progress of Ukraine. According to current European Commission policy, the accession processes for both nations are being managed as a collective package.
