**Cold weekend ahead as polar low moves through**

A cold front forecast by the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) is sweeping across Australia, bringing a cold weekend to the Yarra Ranges and Victoria.

While the weekend is expected to begin dry, conditions are set to deteriorate. The bureau predicts that by Sunday, widespread rain and gusty winds will sweep across south-east Australia, with the wet weather continuing into Monday.
