COCOBOD Settles GH¢2.3bn DDEP Bond Obligations

**COCOBOD Completes GH¢2.3 billion Payment to DDEP Bondholders**

*Accra, Ghana –* The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) announced that it has fulfilled its outstanding payment obligations to bondholders participating in the Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP) for the 2026 financial year. In a press release issued today, the board confirmed that it transferred GH¢ 2,306,202,372.09 to the affected investors, thereby completing the mandatory portion of the DDEP settlement.

The payment marks the final tranche of COCOBOD’s commitments under the DDEP, a component of Ghana’s broader debt‑restructuring efforts aimed at alleviating the fiscal pressures on domestic creditors. By settling the full amount, COCOBOD has satisfied its obligations to the bondholders who were part of the exchange.

The announcement was first reported by *The Ghanaian Chronicle*. No further details on the terms of the exchange or the identities of the bondholders were disclosed.
