A 37-year-old chef hailing from Clarke Road, Penal, was met with a shocking sight on Tuesday morning. Returning home, he found his house had been invaded and valuables stolen. Reports suggest that the chef had secured his home around 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026, before stepping out, only to find his premises ransacked and the rear door ajar upon his return at about 8:00 a.m. on April 7. The theft included several high-value items, notably a gold Spanish link chain with an “OM” pendant valued at $3,000, a gold bera valued at $10,000, a gold-plated “SUNBORN” wristwatch worth $700, and a hefty sum of $17,000 in cash. Officers responding to the distress call observed that the thieves had gained entry by prying open the back door on the western side of the house. The investigation is ongoing.
