Christo Honoured in Brampton
Caribbean recording artist Christo has been officially recognised by the City of Brampton, Ontario, receiving a Certificate of Recognition for his contributions to Caribbean culture and music.
The certificate, presented by Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown and dated June 27, 2026, commends Christo for his talent, passion and dedication to Caribbean culture. It also recognises his role in celebrating the traditions, energy and diversity of Caribbean music while inspiring audiences around the world.
Sharing the moment on social media, Christo wrote:
“I am truly humbled to be recognized by the City of Brampton. My sincere thanks to Mayor Patrick Brown and everyone who made this moment special.”
He added that the honour means a great deal to him, saying his music and dedication to Caribbean culture continue to connect with people across borders.
“Thank you, Brampton, for the warm welcome and unforgettable memories. Blessings always. Congratulations to my brothers in music who also continue to push the culture.”
The recognition marks another milestone for the artist as Caribbean music continues to gain international appreciation, with performers from the region being celebrated for their cultural impact far beyond the Caribbean.
