Chris Brown dømt til fengsel for vold i London – slipper å sone

A 37‑year‑old singer pleaded guilty in July to an assault that took place in a London bar in 2023. He admitted striking a music producer in the head with a bottle. The singer, whose surname is Brown, and a 40‑year‑old man who was charged alongside him, both pleaded guilty in February 2023 to charges of violence and threats of violence. In exchange for their admissions, the prosecution dropped a number of other serious allegations. Both defendants were sentenced on Monday. Brown received a conditional sentence of four months in prison, while the co‑defendant received a lower sentence. The conditional sentences for both men carry a two‑year probation period. Brown was held in custody in Manchester on 15 May as he was scheduled to begin a UK tour. He was released on bail of £5 million on 21 May. Brown has previously been convicted of violence against his former partner, Rihanna.
