China’s AI Drones Triple Incomes for Cambodian Shrimp Farmers

In Cambodia’s Takeo Province, drones now take off at sunrise to feed shrimp and monitor water quality around the clock. This smart technology, part of the China-ASEAN Smart Farm Integrated Development Pilot Program, has helped local farmers more than triple their annual income per hectare. The system transmits real-time water-quality data, allowing precise adjustments. Professor Zheng Changzhong of Fudan University noted that China’s low-cost, adaptable AI solutions offer valuable options for developing countries seeking to modernize agriculture.
