On September 9, 2026, Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong met with Vietnamese Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang in Lianyungang, a city in east China’s Jiangsu Province.
The meeting was attended by Wang Xiaohong, a member of the State Council and the Ministry of Public Security, and Luong Tam Quang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Vietnam’s Minister of Public Security.
The two officials discussed matters related to public security cooperation and the strengthening of bilateral ties between China and Vietnam. The meeting took place in Lianyungang, a port city on the eastern coast of China, and was covered by Xinhua news agency.
There were no additional statements or remarks released by either side following the meeting.
