Felicity Man Charged with Uncle’s Murder
A 43-year-old Felicity man has been formally charged with the murder of his uncle, Ravi Pandhorie, following an altercation last month.
The accused, Shannon Jaggan, is expected to appear before a High Court Master at the North Court ‘C’ on Friday, September 5, 2025.
According to police reports, the charge stems from an incident on August 10 at Gilber Street, Felicity, Chaguanas. During the confrontation, Pandhorie was allegedly beaten and sustained multiple injuries, including a broken leg. He was admitted to the Mt. Hope Hospital, where he later died on August 14.
Investigations led by WPC Nestor of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region 3, resulted in Jaggan’s arrest during a police operation in Felicity on September 2. Following consultations with Acting Director of Public Prosecutions, Sabrina Dougdeen-Jagal, instructions were given to charge Jaggan with murder.
In a previous appearance on Crime Watch, hosted by Ian Alleyne, Jaggan admitted to striking his uncle with a piece of wood, claiming it was out of “frustration” but insisting he did not intend to kill him.
Police say the matter is now before the courts as investigations continue.
