CEMAC Launches New Network to Unite Economists

Africa’s new Chief Economists Network seeks to revolutionize economic cooperation in CEMAC. The Central African Economic and Monetary Community already has a common central bank, a multilateral surveillance framework, and regional consultation mechanisms. The African Chief Economists Network, aimed at energizing economic cooperation, was launched in July 2023 and is expected to bring more effective economic analysis to the region.
