Celebrating Excellence: 2025 CXC Top Awardees Visit Education Towers

Sixteen of the Caribbean’s highest-achieving students arrived in Trinidad and Tobago this week as part of the 2025 CXC Top Awards celebrations, which honour exceptional performance in both the CSEC and CAPE examinations. On Monday 8th December, 2025, the awardees paid a courtesy visit to Education Towers, where they were warmly received by Dr. the Honourable Michael Dowlath, Minister of Education, and Senator Professor the Honourable Prakash Persad, Minister of Tertiary Education and Skills Training.

Minister Dowlath commended the students for their remarkable success, praising their discipline, intellect, and perseverance. He encouraged them to channel their talents toward the advancement of their home countries and the wider Caribbean region. In an engaging discussion, he also invited the young scholars to reflect on their aspirations, urging them to “dream boldly” and continue striving to reach new heights.

Minister Persad echoed these sentiments, highlighting the importance of embracing diverse and emerging career pathways. He encouraged the awardees to explore opportunities in innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship as they carve out their futures in an ever-evolving global landscape.

Throughout the week, the Top Awardees will be meeting influential leaders and visiting key educational and cultural institutions across Trinidad and Tobago. The Ministry of Education extends heartfelt congratulations to these outstanding students for their dedication, excellence, and impressive achievements.
