Casino Supervisor Robbed of $120k in Jewelry in La Brea
A social evening turned violent early Saturday morning when a casino supervisor was robbed and injured outside a popular bar in Vance River, La Brea.
Around 1:30 a.m., the victim was “liming” opposite High Setters Bar along the Southern Main Road when he was confronted by three armed men. The suspects, all described as approximately 5ft 8in with slim builds, demanded the victim’s high-value gold jewelry.
Details of the Robbery
The suspects made off with two significant items:
* A Gucci chain valued at $100,000
* A gold slave band valued at $20,000
During the confrontation, a scuffle ensued. The victim reported hearing one of the assailants shout, “He looking for me to shoot he,” before feeling a sharp burning sensation in his right foot.
Suspect Descriptions
Police are looking for three men of African descent:
* Suspect 1 & 2: Wore dark clothing and ski masks; both had braided hairstyles.
* Suspect 3: Unmasked with a low haircut, wearing a red and black long-sleeve “Polo” jersey and black jeans.
All three suspects were reportedly armed with objects resembling firearms. Following the attack, they fled the scene on foot via Murray Street, adjacent to the bar.
The victim sought treatment at the Point Fortin General Hospital for his injury and has since been discharged. Investigations are ongoing.
