Carolina Mejía juramenta comando juvenil y llama a conquistar el voto barrio por barrio

Carolina Mejía, mayor of the Distrito Nacional, swore in the national youth command of the C28 project on Sunday and urged the young members to mobilize across the Dominican Republic in support of the Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM) ahead of the 2028 presidential election. During the ceremony, Mejía asked the command to “work without rest, neighborhood by neighborhood, sector by sector, in all corners of the Republic” to help the PRM secure victory in the upcoming elections. She emphasized that participants in the project would also have a role in the government the party seeks to lead, encouraging them to engage actively in political tasks from the present. The mayor highlighted the importance of a human and close approach to the people, while maintaining firmness and discipline. She also stated that one of the project’s goals is to see the Dominican Republic elect its first female president, calling on the youth to stay united and active in their communities. “Que nos encuentre listo el 2028,” Mejía said, underscoring her confidence in the energy and participation of the young generation.
