Caribbean Businesswoman Killed in Bandit Attack

A 40-year-old businesswoman, Makeda Sade Swift, owner of Sade Body and Sole Nail Salon, was tragically gunned down at her workplace in St. Joseph on a recent Friday night. The incident took place on the Eastern Main Road, and the assailants have been identified as bandits. Swift, who was also the daughter of popular DJ Nyah Binghi, real name Martin Brian DeFour, was well-loved and known for her warm personality. In response to this devastating event, Club Amazon TT and Nyahbinghi’s Cultural Centre, which released an official statement on the tragedy, will remain closed until further notice. The authorities have urged anyone with information about the incident to contact the nearest police station.
