Police agents of the National Civil Police (PNC) announced on Thursday that they had apprehended 25‑year‑old Javier Antonio Lemus Gudiel. Gudiel was charged with stealing two tablets from inside a vehicle the previous day. Authorities located and detained him in the district of Quezaltepeque, La Libertad Norte. In a statement posted to the PNC’s X account, the agency warned that “if you commit a crime you will be captured. Think carefully.” The police said Gudiel will be referred for prosecution on the charge of theft.
