Cantanhede quer um polo de reabilitação e desporto inclusivo no hospital Rovisco Pais

The municipality of Cantanhede has formally proposed the establishment of a rehabilitation and inclusive sports center at the Rovisco Pais Hospital, officially known as the Center for Rehabilitation Medicine of the Central Region.

Local officials stated that the project aims to create a unique facility within Portugal, integrating specialized medical rehabilitation with inclusive athletic infrastructure. The proposed site for this development is the Quinta da Fonte Quente, located in the parish of Tocha, where the hospital is currently situated.

The municipal government advocates for this initiative as a means to enhance the existing services provided by the Rovisco Pais facility, positioning the region as a national leader in rehabilitation and adaptive sports.
