Canada to blame for Washington’s escalation of trade war, says Trump’s trade czar

U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said Canada was responsible for Washington’s decision to intensify the trade war.

Greer made the statement in Washington, Washington, D.C., during a briefing on trade policy.

He attributed the escalation to Canadian actions, though he did not specify the particular policies or measures that prompted the U.S. response.

Greer’s remarks were reported by the news outlet Thorold Today.
