**Cambodia and Rwanda Discuss Framework to Strengthen Economic Ties**
Cambodia and Rwanda are currently exploring a new investment cooperation framework aimed at bolstering bilateral economic relations, attracting quality investment, and facilitating the exchange of development expertise.
The discussions were held on Thursday during a meeting between Chea Vuthy, Secretary-General of the Cambodian Investment Committee of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), and Rwanda’s Ambassador to Cambodia, Bakuramutsa Nkubito Manzi.
During the meeting, Vuthy emphasized the necessity of deepening economic and investment ties to foster sustainable growth and enhance economic resilience. He further commended Rwanda’s progress in economic diversification, investment promotion, and private-sector development, suggesting that both nations could benefit from sharing best practices.
A primary focus of the talks was the potential signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Cambodian Investment Committee of the CDC and the Rwanda Development Board. The proposed agreement is intended to establish a formal framework for investment promotion, business facilitation, and the strengthening of connections between the private sectors of both countries.
Both parties expressed a commitment to advancing these initiatives, with the goal of translating the proposed framework into concrete actions that provide mutual economic benefits.
