The Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has issued a yellow weather warning for the Viseu district due to high temperatures. The alert, which is the lowest on a three-level scale, remains in effect from today until Wednesday.
The IPMA has placed several districts across mainland Portugal under similar warnings due to hot weather conditions expected to persist through Thursday. In the Setubal district, the yellow warning is specifically attributed to the persistence of high maximum temperature values, which is scheduled to remain in place until 19:00.
