**Cadem Poll Shows Strong Disapproval of President José Antonio Kast’s Administration**
A new survey conducted by the Centro de Estudios y Análisis de la Demanda (Cadem) indicates that the Chilean public is increasingly dissatisfied with the government of President José Antonio Kast. According to the poll, 61 % of respondents disapprove of the administration, while 63 % believe that Chile is heading in the wrong direction.
The poll also highlights widespread economic pessimism. Ninety-one percent of respondents view employment prospects negatively, 82 % see the country’s consumption capacity as weak, and only 10 % report that they are able to save money.
The survey was published on September 3, 2026, by the Chilean newspaper *El Clarin*.
