A businesswoman, aged 28, from Signal Hill endured a terrifying ordeal at her home on the morning of Thursday, November 20, 2025, when she was robbed and assaulted. Two men, armed with a firearm and a cutlass, invaded her house, taking one of her employees hostage. The men took her to a bedroom where one of them threatened her with the weapon and physically abused her while demanding money. In fear for her life, the victim handed over US$4,378, TT$35,000 in cash, and a gold chain valued at TT$7,000. The robbers fled the scene, escaping through a nearby track. Police investigations are underway.
