Businessman Fatally Stabbed During Alleged Domestic Dispute In Chaguanas Apartment

A 47-year-old businessman has died after he was allegedly stabbed by his girlfriend during an incident at an apartment in Woodford Gardens, Chaguanas.
The deceased has been identified as Gregory Reece of Lalla Road, Chaguanas. According to initial reports, Reece sustained stab wounds during the incident and later succumbed to his injuries.
Police are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing. Up to the time of publication, investigators had not publicly disclosed what led to the confrontation or whether any charges had been laid.
Court records show that in 2017, Reece was charged with four counts of uttering a forged valuable security and two counts of obtaining more than $1.4 million by false pretences. At the time, he was granted $300,000 bail with a surety. Those previous charges are separate from the current incident.
Authorities are expected to provide further updates as the investigation progresses.
