Bunji Garlin Returns to Road March Competition

In a surprising turn of events, soca artist Bunji Garlin, also known as Ian Alvarez, has entered this year’s Road March Competition. Garlin had previously stated he would not compete following a controversy with the competition’s judging last year. Despite fan outcry and appeals for his return, he remained steadfast in his decision until recently. The reason, he said, was some were trying to incite rivalry between him and fellow artist Machel Montano. Garlin’s entry to the competition, ‘Still a Road Man’, is produced by Xplicit Mevon, who also backed Montano’s award-winning ‘Pardy’. The announcement was made via a post shared by Garlin and his wife Fay Ann Lyons, displaying their stamped TUCO Road March registration receipt. The response from fans was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their excitement and support for Garlin’s return.
