A shocking home invasion took place in Barrackpore early Monday morning, leaving a family of five traumatized. Six armed intruders stormed the property, attacking two men and allegedly sexually assaulting a 32-year-old woman in her living room. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. when one of the brothers who lived on the shared property was awakened by an intruder armed with a gun. Despite securing his home, he was dragged out by the masked assailant and confronted by five others, all dressed in dark clothing and armed with firearms. As the victim raised the alarm, his brother, who lived next door, also faced violence, receiving several blows from the assailants. Meanwhile, their two young children were confined to a bedroom by the attackers. The intruders ransacked the home, stealing three cellphones and a black Nissan Pulsar before fleeing the scene. Authorities are currently investigating the incident, with crime scene investigators collecting evidence and canvassing the area for CCTV footage, although none has been found so far. The brothers are seeking medical attention for their injuries, while the woman has received care at a local health facility. The community is left in shock as police work to apprehend the culprits responsible for this brutal attack.
