In a shocking incident in Sangre Grande, police are on the hunt for a group of men who broke into the home of a 66-year-old woman, who is paralyzed, and stole thousands of dollars’ worth of items. The intrusion occurred on July 21, when the woman was at home with her 30-year-old son. After securing the house around 10:45 PM, the son left to attend to other matters. At approximately 12:10 AM, the woman called her son in distress, informing him that intruders had invaded their home. Upon his return, he discovered that the living room and his bedroom had been ransacked, with valuable items including clothes, a pair of sneakers, and an Xbox gaming console missing.

Police reviewed CCTV footage and identified eight men, dressed in hoodies with their faces covered, entering the home, one of whom was armed. Despite canvassing the area for the stolen items, authorities found nothing. The investigation has been assigned to PC Budhooram.
