Bozar in Brussels is celebrating Belgium’s national holiday on 21 July with a special offer: 50% off tickets to its thought-provoking exhibition ‘Picture Perfect’. Visitors can also enjoy a Beauty Market in the Rotonde Suzanne Bertouille, featuring life drawing workshops, colour analysis sessions, personalised nail art by Kelali Nails, and hairstyling for textured hair.
The day concludes with a rooftop party until 23:00. The exhibition, which runs until 16 August, challenges Western beauty standards through lens-based works by 65 Belgian and international artists, including Rineke Dijkstra and Cindy Sherman.
Curator Christel Tsilibaris emphasises the link between beauty and photography in the age of smartphones. The show explores diversity, aging, queerness, and the influence of advertising. Visitors can also access free artistic video games in the Bozar Arcade.
