Anthony Joshua, the Nigerian-British boxer and two-time world heavyweight champion, was involved in a tragic car crash in Nigeria on Monday. The incident occurred near his ancestral hometown, Sagamu, on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Joshua, who was travelling in the back of a Lexus SUV, sustained minor injuries and is currently in a stable condition at a specialist medical facility in Lagos. Unfortunately, two other passengers in the vehicle, identified as Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele, both members of Joshua’s team and his close friends, died at the scene. The police are currently investigating the circumstances of the crash, which they believe may have occurred due to a burst tire on Joshua’s vehicle, causing it to swerve into a stationary truck parked along the road.
