Boat Engine Heist Shakes Flanagin

Police in Flanagin Town are investigating the theft of a boat engine valued at $20,000 TT. The incident occurred on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, at approximately 11:15 p.m., when three men broke into a property on D’Abadie Road and stole the engine from a vessel before fleeing the scene. Authorities have identified a key suspect, M.M., a slim, dougla male from Flanagin Town, known to law enforcement for his involvement in organized crime. Intelligence reports suggest that M.M. is connected to a criminal gang based in Claxton Bay and Couva. There are indications that the stolen engine has already been moved to Claxton Bay, where it may be fitted onto another boat. The police are actively pursuing leads and examining the suspect’s activities, but no arrests have been made thus far.
