Bitfinex Securities valora de forma positiva el análisis del FMI sobre tokenización

Bitfinex Securities, a regulated platform for the issuance and trading of tokenized securities, welcomed a recent International Monetary Fund (IMF) report on tokenization. The company said the IMF’s findings confirm the rapid evolution and positive trajectory of digital capital markets. According to the IMF analysis, tokenization could transform global finance by integrating issuance, trading, settlement, and asset management into programmable distributed ledgers. The report notes that daily volumes in tokenized repo transactions range between $300 billion and $350 billion, with an additional $65 billion in other tokenized assets such as credit, money‑market funds, and equities. More than half of tokenized trades occur outside normal market hours, and roughly 80 % of tokenized equity transactions involve fractional shares. Jesse Knutson, Director of Operations at Bitfinex Securities, said the IMF’s findings “validate with certainty what we observe in practice.” He added that the proof‑of‑concept phase is behind the company and that tokenized markets are delivering real, measurable value. Bitfinex estimates that real‑world asset (RWA) and tokenized capital markets are expanding from about $40 billion today to projected ranges of $100 billion to $400 billion. The IMF report identifies key priorities for scaling tokenization, including legal security, regulatory clarity, platform interoperability, and the availability of secure settlement assets. Bitfinex argues that these are engineering and legal design challenges with proven solutions rather than existential obstacles. The platform claims its instruments settle almost instantly, without the traditional T+2 capital lock‑in, and charge zero trading fees. It reports that equity issuance costs have fallen from an average of 7 % to 4 %, and that token transfers are restricted to verified accounts through white‑list controls and KYC/AML processes. Bitfinex Securities operates under formal supervision in El Salvador with the National Digital Assets Commission (CNAD) and in Kazakhstan at the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC). The company maintains that rigorous regulation can coexist with direct asset control and continuous global access. It also agrees with the IMF on the need to develop technologically neutral regulatory frameworks that protect investors. Founded in 2021, Bitfinex Securities aims to leverage advances in the digital asset industry to transform global capital markets, offering real‑time settlement and 24/7/365 trading.
