BGB Foils Two BSF Push-In Attempts, 13 People Stopped at Kushtia-Chuadanga Border

Bangladesh Border Guards (BGB) have foiled two consecutive attempts by India’s Border Security Force (BSF) to push 13 people into Bangladesh along the Kushtia and Chuadanga frontiers. The incidents occurred over the past two days, marking an escalation in border tensions in the region.

According to BGB officials, patrol teams intercepted the groups and prevented them from crossing into Bangladeshi territory. The BGB has recorded a total of seven such push-in attempts in the Kushtia and Chuadanga areas over the last two months, underscoring a persistent pattern of border violations.

The latest incidents come amid heightened vigilance by the BGB to secure the border and prevent unauthorized crossings. The BGB has reiterated its commitment to maintaining border integrity and has called for stronger bilateral cooperation to address the issue.

Authorities are monitoring the situation closely as the frequency of these attempts raises concerns about border security and the safety of individuals involved. No further details about the individuals prevented from crossing have been released.
