Intan Mayundaya, a graduate of SMK Wiyata Mandala Bakti, finally received her diploma on Friday, 30 October 2026, after participating in the Jakarta Utara Education Department’s “Program Pemutihan Ijazah Tahap II Tahun 2026.” The program, which covered the cost of diploma issuance for 683 students, was funded with a budget of Rp1,17 billion. “I’m very happy to receive this diploma,” Intan told reporters in Jakarta on Thursday. She said many of her classmates had not yet been able to collect their diplomas because they had not paid the required fees. “Now the government is helping us get our diplomas,” she added. Intan explained that having her diploma would ease her job search. “Previously I applied for jobs using only a Certificate of Completion. I’m grateful that I can now present an official diploma,” she said. Wali Kota (Mayor) of North Jakarta, Hendra Hidayat, highlighted the program as part of the province’s commitment to ensuring citizens receive legitimate educational documents. “A diploma is not just a piece of paper; it is proof of one’s effort and learning, and it is essential for further education or entering the workforce,” Hidayat said. The program was administered by the Jakarta Utara Education Department and aimed to support graduates who faced financial barriers to obtaining their diplomas.
