Beirut Airport Arrest: Man Accused of Passing Intel That Led to Hezbollah Commander Deaths

MTV has revealed the identity of a Lebanese man arrested at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport days ago on charges of collaborating with Israel. The suspect, whose passport photo was obtained by MTV, is alleged to have provided information that led to the assassination of four senior Hezbollah leaders during the recent conflict.

According to MTV sources, the military court is investigating the Lebanese national, who was detained while traveling to Iraq to meet his Iraqi wife. Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect passed intelligence resulting in the deaths of top Hezbollah commanders, exploiting his close ties to the group to gather sensitive details.

The sources further reported that the individual met with Israeli officers outside Lebanon, underscoring the seriousness of the espionage allegations. The case has heightened security concerns in Lebanon, given the suspect’s access to high-level Hezbollah circles.

Authorities are continuing their probe, with the suspect in custody as the investigation unfolds. The revelation has stirred public outrage and raised questions about internal security breaches within Hezbollah’s ranks.
