Beach Robbery Leaves Man Injured, Car Stolen

A Chaguanas man had a terrifying experience at Flower Pot Beach in Pointe-a-Pierre. While spending time with a woman he knew only as “Zion” early Wednesday morning, he was robbed at gunpoint by three men. The victim, 38, was beaten and bound before the thieves made off with $200 in cash, his $1,000 Samsung cellphone, and his silver Nissan Tiida. Police are investigating, but details about the female companion remain scarce. The man managed to free himself and report the incident to the St. Margaret’s Police Station. He was later treated at San Fernando General Hospital for his injuries.
