Barbados: Doorbell prankster that tormented residents of German apartments turns out to be a slug

Residents of several German apartment buildings were left puzzled and annoyed after their doorbells began ringing at unusual hours, leading many to believe a prankster was behind the disturbances.

After weeks of speculation, the surprising culprit was finally revealed: a slug. The creature had crawled onto one of the outdoor doorbell panels and, with its slimy trail and weight, triggered the bells repeatedly.

Local residents expressed both relief and amusement at the discovery, noting that while the late-night rings were irritating, the harmless intruder was far from the mischievous human troublemaker they had imagined. Maintenance crews have since taken steps to clean the panels and prevent further slimy surprises.
