Bar Altercation Escalates into Kidnapping in Longdenville; Three Injured, One Arrested

A violent incident escalated into a suspected kidnapping at Dread and Zeena’s Bar in Longdenville on the early hours of Monday, March 30, 2026. The altercation, which left three people injured, reportedly involved a woman’s ex-boyfriend and his associates.

The incident began when several patrons at the bar were confronted by the ex-boyfriend and his group. The confrontation rapidly turned violent, leaving two victims with lacerations. Amid the chaos, the ex-boyfriend allegedly forced his former girlfriend into a black Mitsubishi Lancer and fled the scene.

Police officers tracked the vehicle to Dam Road, Longdenville where the suspect, the woman, and another person were discovered near a drain. The suspect attempted to evade arrest but was eventually apprehended while hiding in nearby bushes.

All the injured parties received immediate medical attention. The woman, due to the severity of her ordeal, was later transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex for further examination. The police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
