Automotive: con i contratti di sviluppo 300 milioni di euro per la filiera

**Italian Ministry Allocates €300 Million to Support Automotive Supply Chain Transformation**

*Rome, Italy* – The Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy has announced a €300 million allocation to support the transformation of the country’s automotive supply chain. The funding will be distributed through a series of “mini development contracts” under a decree signed by Minister Adolfo Urso, with the money financed by a refinancing of the national industrial fund.

The programme aims to help companies transition toward more sustainable mobility. Projects that qualify for the funding include the development, engineering, testing and production of new vehicles, low‑emission propulsion systems, and components and technologies for autonomous, connected, intelligent and safe mobility. Research and development initiatives and training programmes are also eligible, with training costs capped at 10 % of the total investment.

**Allocation of Funds**

* 60 % of the €300 million will be earmarked for small and medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs), with a quarter of that portion reserved for micro‑ and small‑enterprises.
* 40 % of the funds will be directed to programmes located in the southern regions of Italy.
* An additional 10 % of the budget will be set aside for companies that hold a legal compliance rating and a gender‑parity certification.

**Funding Mechanism**

The incentives will be offered in the form of grants and preferential financing. Eligible projects may receive up to 75 % of their qualifying expenses covered by the programme.

The initiative is part of the Ministry’s broader strategy to modernise Italy’s automotive sector and align it with global trends toward low‑emission and connected mobility solutions.
