Islamabad – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a meeting with the Secretary‑General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Antonio Guterres, to discuss Pakistan’s upcoming chairmanship of the SCO and the organization’s future agenda.
During the talks, the officials reviewed the priorities for the SCO’s 27‑2026 chairmanship, which Pakistan is set to assume. A spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement confirming the meeting and noting that both parties exchanged views on the strategic direction of the SCO for the forthcoming term.
