Former Bangladesh Air Force Flight Lieutenant K M Tahsif Souri was found dead in the capital city of Dhaka. In connection with the incident, police have taken his junior friend, Deep, into custody. According to a senior officer of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Deep had spent several hours with Souri before the latter went missing. The officer confirmed that members of the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) seized Deep on the night of Thursday, 29 October. The arrest took place at a third‑floor apartment in Block B of a house on Babur Road, near Mohammadpur police station. Deep is the son of Selim Reza, a local resident. CCTV footage captured before Souri’s disappearance shows the former flight lieutenant with a man who has been identified as Deep. The footage, recorded on the evening of 27 October at about 6:30 p.m., shows the two men meeting in front of a garage in the Rajuk Uttara apartment project, located in North‑18 Sector. After shaking hands, they departed on separate motorcycles. No formal case has yet been filed in connection with the incident.
