Bozhinov played the entire match and set up the second goal for his side in the 40th minute, giving the hosts a 2‑0 advantage. The defender headed the ball to Filippo Pitaro, who scored his second goal of the game. After the break, Palermo mounted a comeback, with goals from Jonson, Peda and Vavasori. Pisa secured the point when Manuel Maras scored in the 80th minute. Palermo currently tops the table with 23 points, while Bozhinov’s Pisa sit in sixth place with 15 points.
